Pre-Christmas

We were so excited that we didn't have to travel anywhere for Christmas!  After the marathon of packing (and leaving several important things we really wanted with us), we were quite thankful that both sets of grandparents wanted to come up this direction.  Reid's favorite thing was reading with Grammy and watching Grumpy on the iPad. 

I had rsvp'd yes to a cookie party before we knew the days Grammy and Grumpy would be here.  But it ended up being perfect because they could watch Carter while I took Reid to the party (and didn't have to juggle him the whole time).  Reid loved decorating the cookies with his friends from school and I got to chat with a couple of the moms.  I never get to see any other parents at drop off or pick up since I am working at that time, so I don't really know any of them or the kids.  It was nice to chat with a few.

 

We had our gift opening on Christmas Eve Eve.  The boys were excited about their gifts!  And, in true brotherly fashion, the boys played with each other's toys, too.

Carter showed off his pulling up skills.  He puts those little handprints on everything these days.  I honestly thought he'd be walking by now since he's been crawling for so long. 

Our biggest gift this year.  We are so thankful for this happy little guy.  I can't believe he's nearly a year old!

And this little ham...  I don't think there are words that sufficiently describe his crazy personality.  But this picture kind of says it all.
