Waaaay Behind

Planned on updating the blog several times this month... BUT we've been super busy and have decided to move!  More about that in a later post.  And I ended up with strep throat last weekend.  Should've been in bed for the three day weekend, but let's face it--moms are never "off."  Then Carter had his "9 month" checkup on MLK day (even though he was nearly 11 months, ha!) and I had the pediatrician check out Reid, too, because he has a cough that just never seems to go away.  He's on a preventative inhaler (on top of his rescue inhaler) and we think he may have asthma.  That all being said, it's been a zoo here.

In the meantime, someone is getting to be such a big boy!  He actually turned 11 months yesterday, and I realized how far behind I am on posting.  So here's 9 months...

His sleeping positions crack us up!  He's usually butt up, hands tucked under, paci in his mouth.

Big bro insisted on wearing footie pj's "just like Carter's!!" that a sweet friend included when she passed on some boys clothing.

He has been a hilarious sleeper, too.  Even though he's in a full sized bed, he's fallen out a few times and he hits the wall multiple times a night because he's all over the place.

Mr. Cool

Our little guy looked like a frog a few nights ago--and his hands were on his forehead.  Hilarious!

He did NOT like taking the 10 month picture.  Even with Reid making faces/silly noises and Jason positioning him, it was quite an ordeal.

I settled with this one.  Not the greatest, but at least he's smiling...

Dixie seems to actually like Carter.  She was always scared of Reid and hissed at him (but he'd pull her fur and tail quite often), but I think she realizes Carter is a little gentler...so far, anyway.  She'll come within arm's reach and let him pet her, with our help, of course.  We're pretty sure he has said her name, but can't be positive...

Reid is still not very independent in the mornings.  I'm not sure if it's his way of getting extra attention or if he just really isn't sure of himself.  So when he gets dressed on his own we make a big deal out of it (especially if he needed no reminder!).  We even started a chore chart so he could earn money and hopefully gain some responsibility.  On this day when he came downstairs, Jason and I just about died laughing.  Reid had somehow squeezed into Carter's 9 month pants!!

It's so fun having a big brother.  You even get to wear his spy gear headlight and chase around the little green laser (cat style) and try to grab it.  We were quite entertained until he cried because he couldn't grab it.
